What is Terakoya?

Terakoya in Korokuko is an extracurricular activity carried out in Korokuko in accordance with the "Ikiiki Terakoya Plan Project " carried out by the Board of Education in Itabashi Ward. It is run by the Takashima 6th Elementary School School Opening Cooperation Association, which is organized by local volunteers and PTA, and is active about nine times a year on Saturdays.

The Terakoya of Korokuko is a club activity format. There are various clubs, from exercises such as sports and ball games to indoor hobbies / practical use and extracurricular learning. Many children participate every year.

Participation fee is free, but if you need actual expenses such as teaching materials and transportation, please bear it by yourself.

On participation

If you are absent

Please fill out the attendance card and submit it to your homeroom teacher by Friday, the day before the Terakoya implementation date. Also, if you are absent on the day of the event in a hurry, we will contact you from our website. Please contact us by 8:30 in the morning on the day.

If you continue to be absent without notice, we may contact you.

In case of accident or sudden illness

We pay close attention to safety, but in the unlikely event of an accident or sudden illness, we will provide first aid and contact parents or emergency contact information. Please pick us up depending on the situation.

If you cannot come to pick us up immediately, our staff may accompany you to the hospital.

In case of illness

Please refrain from attending when your child is sick or while the class is closed.

The prognosis of infectious diseases is treated in the same way as the school attendance criteria.

In case of emergency

If it is not possible to carry out "Ikiiki Terakoya" due to a disaster, etc., we will notify you by the Itabashi Ward School Emergency Contact Mail. If there is no notice, please let us participate at the discretion of the parents.

In the event of an emergency disaster during the activity, the staff will contact the school for proper protection, but parents should come to pick up the child as soon as possible.

When returning home from school, parents and children should confirm that they will follow a predetermined passage.

What to bring

As with regular school attendance, do not carry anything other than what is designated by the club or valuables.
